I don’t even have the words to explain how surreal it is to see these two photos side by side. I started my lifestyle change back in early November of 2016 when I was at my heaviest weight of 155lbs. I wasn’t a “fat girl” but I needed to make a healthy change for ME. I ate garbage fast food takeout 4-5 times a week because I work nights. I drank way to much soda and sugar laden coffee drinks.
So one day I said enough is enough and completely did a 180 with my diet. No fast food, no fried anything, no soda, no sugar laden coffee drinks, artificial sugar was a no-go, no chips, no drive through, if I didn’t make it myself (within reason) I didn’t eat it. I meal prep for the week every week, everything is fresh real food, fruits and veggies at every meal, lean proteins like chicken breast, turkey, pork, and tofu.
Then, I busted my butt at the gym 4-5 days a week with cardio and strength training.
I went from an 8/9 jean to a size 4/5, I went from a medium to a small tee shirt, and I went from a dress size 6 to a dress size 2. I did this for me, and I want to inspire others that they can make the healthy change and they can do it without buying into shakes, pills, wraps, creams, and detoxes. Just eating real food in the right portion sizes, and exercising even a little more every week makes a world of difference. It’s not what you loose in a journey like this, it’s what you gain along the way ❤️
