It’s so easy to get discouraged when you compare yourself/your journey to other people. I’ve been plateaued for awhile (battling my annoying hypothyroidism!), and it’s hard to not get discouraged when that happens… but then I took the second picture and I realized I’ve come SO FAR since August and I need to keep pushing towards my goals!
I got my crap together and committed to a healthier lifestyle in August 2014. Every day since then I’ve been busting my butt and learning so much about myself, my body, and my health. It’s amazing how much better you feel inside AND out when you make a true change to your eating/exercise habits.
Some days it’s overwhelming because there’s so much to learn… but it’s a journey and there’s no real destination, so keep at it. Keep learning and trying day in and day out. You might not feel like you’re getting anywhere, but it takes a lot of little baby steps. Everybody starts somewhere, so KEEP TRUCKING ALONG!
I’m 5’8” and weigh around 135 lbs now (I put my scale away awhile ago) and started around 150 lbs.
