These photos are about a year old, but I wanted to re-motivate myself. I completed Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred daily for a month. I was already vegan, but I replaced a lot of the fruit, nuts and grains in my diet with extra vegetables, which I wasn’t getting enough of prior. I didn’t think to take photos until day 10, so unfortunately the first and third pictures have only 20 days between them but I think they show a lot of progress for 20 days. I was about 144lbs in the beginning (not shown) and 138lbs in the end, and I didn’t weigh myself during the month. I gained muscle in addition to losing fat.
I am a certified Nutrition Specialist and soon-to-be-certified yoga instructor, so eating a healthy plant-based diet and working out daily isn’t an issue for me. My struggles lie in getting enough cardiovascular exercise in the winter months (which is half of them where I live!) and moderating my consumption of delicious high-calorie healthy foods like avocado and peanut butter. 🙂
