I’m 16 years old, 5’10, and I currently weigh 239. The picture on the left was taken 2013 and I weighed 310 which was my heaviest weight and the picture on the right was taken last week. I always tried to avoid mirrors because I never liked what I saw. I was depressed and miserable and I had no motivation to change. I thought that I was going to be that way for the rest of my life and I was going to settle for that but the following year I decided I no longer wanted to live this way. I started eating healthier and exercising but after a month, I stopped and went back to my old habits. A couple of months passed and something finally clicked in me. I was tired of feeling the way I did and I knew I had to change in order to improve myself and my life. I started to eat healthier again but this time I made it a lifestyle, not a diet. I also started to exercise regularly and walking my dog 2-3 times a day. I can’t even begin to explain how much simply walking my dog everyday has helped me physically and emotionally. I am now the happiest and most positive I’ve ever been, I’m looking forward to the future and what it will bring me. I still have a long way to go considering my goal weight is 180 but I know I can do this especially with the help of this blog.
