The difference about 50 lbs makes on the face. Needless to say, when I compared the two photos, I was shocked!
I started my healthy lifestyle journey last year very slowly. At first, all I did was tell myself I was going to have a healthy breakfast (oatmeal, if you were wondering). What started as a single healthy meal would soon become a life style. I started making better choices in other meals, and slowly started working out (yoga and running primarily). Nowadays, I ride my bike to work and am trying to get very serious about my yoga practice!
So do yourself a favor and start slow – any other diet or exercise regimen I did before did not work because they weren’t slow enough to allow my body to adapt to the changes. Even though it took me about 1 year and 2 months to get where I am, I have healthy habits that will last me a lifetime! I am not done, but I know I will get there with persistence!
Before: 205 lbs
During: 155 lbs (as of 4/6/2015)
Goal: 125 lbs
