vitamindonuts:

I hope if you’re feeling like I was – you’ll reach out. I was 300lbs and climbing up the scale in 2013. I was dealing with the death of my mother and brother and I wasn’t coping well. I was literally killing myself with food. Zero exercise and excessive binge eating nearly took me to surgery. Instead, I got angry and I got informed. I started educating myself on what I needed to do to stop inhaling the junk and start listening to my body. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I started changing my daily habits and slowly worked up my endurance with exercise. Today I’m 130lbs down and I still have more to go but more importantly, I’m happy. You don’t have to pay anyone a dime to change your life. You don’t need shakes, pills, wraps or surgery. You don’t have to feel hopeless. I know this feels like a huge mountain to climb but once you start moving up it you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. Feeling low? Good. The higher you’ll go. Take it one meal at a time, not one day at a time. You’ll fail and that’s okay. Just keep going. I just want to reach out and let you know, I’m here. I’ve been there. I didn’t think I’d survive it. I’m here to coach, give advice, be a friend. Reach out and I’ll help you out the best way I can. I run a wonderful group on FB called Fight Chub. It’s filled with people just trying to make healthier decisions. We share how we’re feeling, recipes, exercises, any success or failures we have, big or small. I’d love for you to be apart of it. If not, message me and we’ll exchange emails. I’ll talk to you one on one and give you any help I can. I’ll send you my meal plans, grocery lists, work outs, tips for beating binge eating. Everything. Completely free, no gimmicks. Just advice and someone to listen. You can do this. You can gain control and you can have a better life. Just take the first step. You are worth it. and some parting words that I finally understand the meaning of: “Eating well is a form of self-respect.”
